Springhaven Standards

Our main priority has always been consistency. to help us accomplish this task, the greens committee has set golf course standards which the greens department should follow.

The Greens
Our daily greens speeds do not need to be the fastest they can be, but should stay within the 9.5ft to 10.5ft range on the stimp meter.

Fairways
Our fairways should be mowed three times a week at a height of .420 inches. Our rough and greens banks will be maintained at 2.5 inches of cut, and our bunkers will have 4 inches of packed sand below .75 inches to 1 inch of loose sand.

Trees
Beginning in 2008, extensive evaluation has been done on a large number of trees on the golf course. Part of the standard of playability is to make sure that we maintain a level of fairness as far as a tree sight line is concerned.
